View Full Version : FO- Le Slouch!

Yay for the slouchy hat!
I love Patton's SWS! And the seed stitch didn't take as long as I was thinking it would. It only took 3, maybe 4 days to finish.
One more:

And the pattern is here: http://knitandtonic.typepad.com/knitandtonic/2006/12/leslouch.html

About SWS...does anyone else have the same problem I do and have trouble scooping up all the yarn? It seems that I split the yarn often, but maybe that's just because I use pointy metal needles and knit tightly? I really need to learn to ease up on the tension, I think.

Anyway, I hope you like!

I really love the SWS. I was just thinking I wish they made it in solid colors. Your hat is great!

How cute!! Looks like Big-Haired Woman over here (speaking of myself, of course) could wear that hat (this is a weird way to compliment you...sorry)!! :teehee:

It really is cute! I love the design!!!

That is a great hat, you did a wonderful job. I can't wait till I knit that clean and in three to four hours. Wow!

I've never tried the SWS by Patons, I'll take a look. Is the pattern for your hat on their website or is this available elsewhere. I wouldn't mind trying my hand at it.

Very cute...I made that hat, but I made a few too many changes to the pattern (for one thing, I decided to make it slouchier, so I knit for 7 inches instead of 6) before I started decreasing. I did it in stockinette, because I didn't like her seed stitch (in your colorway, it's beautiful!). I also, for no good reason that I can remember, incorporated a few mini ruffles (basically a row of purl in the middle of the stockinette).

I like yours WAAAAAY better. Isn't that little star pattern on the crown so cute?

Hey, cool! There's a hat I could wear that might not make my hair flat! I LOVE hats, but I can't ever take them off when I go inside because my hair looks crazy!! Then I get hoooot! :teehee: So cute!!

That is a great hat - nice job! I'm making a reversible scarf in the SWS and I'm having the same problem you mentioned; I've split a couple stitches. I find it's not spun very tightly. I'm knitting with stubby-pointed wood needles, and was wondering if pointy metallics would do better; I guess not. But the color shift makes the yarn worth the aggravation.
