I've been wanting to make socks from the toe up, so I went to KPC for patterns. One of them looks pretty easy to follow, but I have a question about M1 increases. I thought there was only one way to do a make 1, but this pattern calls for a M1L and a M1R. I know that L and R means left and right, but what I don't know is how to M1, and control which way it will slant. :shrug:

Can someone please help me?
