So I quit the branching out project and started this instead. I actually really like this pattern, and it's very simple. You can find it by googling "Falling Water Scarf". I made it from Heavenly Yarn, the ArtYarns Silk Rhapsody Glitter. Because my camera sucks, you can't see the thread of gold running through the yarn and I can't seem to find a pic of the yarn in this color online, either, but it's like this yarn:

except in white. It's yummy.

oh that came out lovely.

I have been eying that pattern for a bit now. I am just waiting to come across a non acrylic yarn. Not easy to do since that is all Walmart carries, and I am scared to death of my LYS... (they definately didn't make me want to come back... besides their prices were nuts) and of course Micheal's is like on the other side of town on the outskirts... and I don't have a car.

Someday!

I found the yarn you were talking about here (http://www.yarnmarket.com/yarn/Artyarns-Silk_Rhapsody_Glitter_Yarn-2544.html?PPC=true&kw=goo:artyarns+silk+rhapsody+glitter)

BEAUTIFUL!

That's quite pretty! I think it's hard to photograph the "glimmers" in yarn with any camera. I haven't found the trick to it yet - maybe natural sunlight shows it better.

Very pretty -- dainty!

I'm curious...why did you quit the Branching Out Scarf? I just ordered yarn for this project and plan on beginning as soon as it arrives.

That yarn really suits the pattern too! Nice knit!

Does it have the mohair "halo" like the one shown in the example?

it does have a slight mohair halo. i like this yarn as it has enough mohair to have a little halo but not enough to be super itchy to me.
