View Full Version : I didn't leave the house all weekend...

I didn't leave the house all weekend, but I finally finished the spiral throw. I had so much to do, but I was obsessed with finishing. It started as 8 sts and grew to about 800 around. I added it up, something like 50,000 sts in all. I started about a month ago and it went really fast until the dark greens!

Thanks everyone. I am still basking in the satisfaction of completing something so photogenic :) I got the pattern on the Lionbrand website. I had to pay like $2.50 for it, but it was worth it.

I found the pattern while looking for "stashbusting" projects, so one of the coolest parts is that it is made mostly of yarn I had leftover from previous projects. The pattern calls for Wool-ease, but I used a combination of Wool Ease, Simply Soft and Red Heart Soft. Out of 15 colors/17 skeins, I think I only bought 5 skeins. The white and golds that I used at the center only used a tiny bit. I used the rest of the white for my brother's Skully sweater (to be finished this week) and I am using the gold for a baby blanket I started this morning (the parents requested mango/gold color scheme).

Of course, I had a lot to do this weekend that didn't get done. Next weekend
