I thought that too but she gives you the pattern so I guess you could go ahead and start it..

I'm working on mine right now.

Of course, I'm trying to do it toe up, just to make things complicated.

I'm going to try one tonight. I think it would be a fun swap :)

Damnit! Okay, fine. I'll do it.

I started mine last night. If I were better at socks I'm sure I'd have finished, but as it is, I worked on them for about 2-3 hours and just have the cuff to finish now (I did toe up). So, it doesn't take much time. And, again, if I was better at knitting socks, I'm sure it would have taken less.

We really should do our own wee tiny sock swap.

We really should do our own wee tiny sock swap.

I would much rather swap with KH members.

How cute is that?! I had to order one for me and my SIL -- thanks for the link!

Well, I suppose I could give it a shot. I've never organized before, so I don't know exactly what needs to be done.

But, I imagine this swap wouldn't be very hard. Just get everyones name and pair them up, pretty much. Right?

Allergies should be taken into consideration, but since no one would be wearing the mini socks, it shouldn't be too big of a deal.

I'll think about it this weekend and try to get an outline set up. If I think I can manage it, I'll post about it.

But, if a more experienced organizer wants to take it, by all means! :teehee:

I would like to do the swap, I just have too much going on right now.
I did order some of the kits for my knitting buddies. They are a great bunch of folks. They helped me when I was going through some rough patches a month ago.

Question for anyone interested in making this a KH swap:

Would you be more or less interested in having multiple partners?
Since they are so small and relatively quick to knit, I was thinking we could swap for a month (or so), and if you wanted to send one to more than one person, you could.

Obviously, the people who want to remain monogamous certainly can, and there would be no expectations for people to make more than one to swap.

I just thought of the idea, and wondered if anyone else would.

I know I'd love to get a bunch of little socks from my KH homies. ;) :muah:

That's ok, though. You could use this to practice!

They have a mini sock for practice in a lot of sock classes or books.

I love knit socks (obviously) and I collect keychains. I ordered 2 of the sockblocker keychains. :muah:

I'll get in on the KH swap if it pans out! I think several different swap partners would be cool. :)

I think I've pretty much got it all figured out, and the questions typed up. I'm going to be making a spreadsheet tomorrow to get it set up to open it up for signups. I'll probably have signups open for about a week, then assign partners, send the info, and have it open for a month.

I'll have an option for multiple partners. If there aren't enough people who are interested in that, then I'll let every one know and drop it off.

It will, of course, be open internationally. :muah:

[edit: Once I get it set up, I'll ask the mods to move this to the KAL forum. Or, I'll start it's own KAL thread and then make a general post that signups are open. I think that'd work better.]

Oops, forgot to ask about that. Iīm in Spain and I know itīs a bit of a pain to mail stuff ( cost, time etc ) so if itīs not an option, thatīs OK! Karen

Well, that's part of what is so great about the tiny socks. They hardly weigh anything. So, it wouldn't be any different to mail the sock (out of the US) compared to a regular letter.

The only difference, really, would be that it would probably take longer to get.

I had only made one pair of socks prior to these.

I liked them because I got to do all the steps of a sock, but it didn't take me as long to knit it.
