View Full Version : Mercerized cotton and LB suede...what to do, what to do?

I am trying to branch out of cotton and wool right now so I went out and bought 2 skeins of Patons Grace, one green and one purple. At the same time I also bought 2 of LB suede in eggplant and a blue. I just have no idea what to make with them now. If I need to I can buy some more. Would the mercerized be good for washcloths?

Any suggestions?

I think mercerized cotton has been treated to give it that shiny look, so it may not be absorbent. And that's fairly thin yarn too. Dishcloth cotton - Sugar/Peaches and cream, Lion Cotton, Bernat's handicrafter cotton are all better choices. Thicker and more absorbent.
