Ok ladies, I guess Im a super tight knitter, I have used this pattern before and it calls for worsted weight on size 5( BTW its a diaper soaker pattern) and I have to use a size 8 just to get guage, all the ones I have done have turned out BEAUTIFUL! BUT I found this SUPER CHUNKY wool ease for $1.00/skein @ hobby lobby and picked up enought for yardage of a worsted weight one even though I know its more than enough..

How do I adjust my stitch numbers and rows to accomidate this yarn? Can I use a big needle and just use the same amount of stitches?? I have winged stuff before, so Im sure I can make it work...

You'd use a large needle with that weight, at least a 10/6mm. If it comes in sizes make a smaller size; you'll need less stitches probably. Figure out how many sts/inch you get and how many inches around you'll need, then multiply that. That would be the number for the waist.
