I don't know if anyone else has seen this. I was so excited to find this.

I've seen this too. My DIL does cables that way because my DGS just loves to pull dpns out of the stitches. I've never done it.

I don't use an extra needle unless it's a 3 x 3 crossover.

I think I'm going to try this. I had read about it, but hadn't seen pics of the cabling in process. Thanks for the link. It's not nearly as scary as I originally thought. I'm always losing my cable needle. This will be great :cheering:

Yep I too am working on the no cable needle cables(mini cables) I couldn't get the stitch at first, :wall: :wall: but after a question to the HOW TO forum here,I rec'd an answer to check out Knitty....The article is great...and got me thru the stitch with no problem :cheering:

I'm working on an Irish Hiking Scarf (my third!) and I'm cableing this one without a needle. I like it. It seems to make the cables look a little nicer. That last stitch doesn't stretch as much this way.
