I shut down the computer to fix the sound card, and loaded back up a bit ago...

Pulled up Mozilla...and ALL MY BOOKMARKS were GONE. :!!!: :wall: :!!!: :wall: :grrr:

I had a knitting folder with links to all these patterns I wanted to try...OMG...I lost them ALL. I had to reimport from IE, and reorganize AGAIN!

Ugh.

You might have heard me scream about 20 minutes ago...sorry if I scared any of your kids or animals. :pout:

I hate it when computers start deciding what we need and what we don't.

I heard a scream... but dismissed it as a knitter having to refrog something... hugs... computers can be sooo frustrating.

If you hurry, you might be able to get them back:

ya, firefox makes archives of bookmarks everyday. I'm sure the file is on there somewhere. You might have accidentally signed on under a different profile on firefox. (firefox has profiles) I freaked out one time about this too, and I eventually found a link that helped me recover everything. So now, I save my file of bookmarks somewhere in case that happens again, I have somewhat of a recent file at my disposal.

So sorry for the loss!!!!

You may want to upload the new ones to an online bookmark storage site.

I use ikeepbookmarks.com (http://ikeepbookmarks.com).

There is actually a way that you can restore your computer to a day and time in the past. That way you can recover the bookmarks.http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/winxppro/plan/faqsrwxp.mspx

I used to use IE...but the IE7 update just messed everything up...so I switched to Firefox.

I had no idea about the bookmark archives! Ill keep that information in mind!
