I made this using Nashua creative focus superwash. This is pre blocking. I am very happy with how it turned out. This is the first sweater I have made that required seaming, although I did the sleeves in the round even though they were to be knit flat. This is also my first project with cables. My tension is a bit wacky on them but maybe after a few washings they will straighten up a little.

Ok well I found the pattern here http://www.girlfromauntie.com/patterns/shop/rogue/detail.php, but it has a narrow range of sizes. It does offer a few tips for resizing, but no definite instructions. So my next question is, "Does anybody want to modify this pattern to fit bigger people?" I am not skilled enough to do that yet, so are there any volunteers? Maybe cast on more stitches, add some short row bust shaping?

Pattern can be found here http://www.girlfromauntie.com/patterns/shop/rogue/detail.php but it is offered in a narrow range of sizes. I am not skilled enough yet to rewrite patterns, so do we have any volunteers to rewrite the pattern for larger sizes? Maybe more cast on stitches, add some short row bust shaping? I really want to knit this sweater, but am unsure about trying to do the size modifications myself.

It looks fabulous and it fits you perfectly! Someday I'm going to attempt that pattern...it's on my to do list that is about a mile long, now.

Thank you everyone for all the compliments. This was one of the harder patterns I have done, but the instructions are very well written and she explains things.

That is beautiful! Sometimes, when others post their finished objects, I think, "How pretty! What nice knitting! I would never wear that!"

But your sweater! It's beautiful! I would absolutely wear that! I love the color choice too!

Wow! I had been doing her other sweater, Eris, and put it aside for a while. I think it is ending up too small. I wasn't too sure about Rogue, but after seeing it on you I think I need one! Woohoo, I am excited about cables again!

I love that sweater and plan to order the pattern, your knitting looks excellent! It has inspired me to get my needles clicking again after a week off not being able to decide what to do next.

I've got the pattern... I'm just trying to pick a color... I can't decide if I want blue or green, but I'm leaning toward green. I want to finish my mom's sweater first, then I'm planning on diving into this one. You did a wonderful job!! :notworthy:

WOW!! Looks fantastic! Iwas eyeing up that pattern , but not that brave yet!!! Great Job!! TFS!

04-12-2007, 10:18 PM
WOW! That sweater is really gorgeous! I think the cables look great. Hopefully one day I'll be able to knit like that :teehee:

I hope we have a couple more slightly chilly days so you can wear it a few times before summer hits, because that deserves to be worn and shown off proudly!

04-12-2007, 10:48 PM
Awesome!!! :cheering:

04-13-2007, 01:49 PM
Thanks again for all the compliments. :muah: :cheering: :happydance: I'm hoping to wear this a couple of times before it gets to warm. We do go camping a lot in the summer time and the evenings are cold, but I don't want it to start to smell like camp fire. I am wearing this today for the first time, other than trying it on.
