Okay, Letah's Stash topic prompted this -- 'cus I sooooo got her beat ;) If not in quality, certainly in quantity. :)

Everybody post your stash on your knitting blogs. Let us know when you're ready and we'll come take a look.

I'll put mine up tomorrow.

Hmmm -- don't know what the winner should get. Let's think about that.

So do you want me to take my yarn out so you can see all of it? The insides of the drawers are triple stacked....

Ohhh, I've never "inspired" anyone before.

I can comfortably assess that I easily have at least 15 totes of some sort/shape holding yarn, my car has a few bags in the back and the trunk *don't ask*, and there are many sundry bags and a few boxes from online purchases in several locations in my house, including the living room, bedroom, and (gulp) kitchen.
I need help

I think the last place "winner" should get to pick from the first place "winner's" stash!!!!! :teehee:

In that light, I have no yarn... it's actually negative yarn. :shifty:

ingrid wins!

Compared to most of you, especially Ingrid, I've got a mere piece of a swatch (no matter what my DH says) so I'm not even going to embarrass myself by posting my little stash. Besides I don't have a blog.

:muah:

What constitutes the winner, anyway LOL?! The quantity of yarn? The quality of yarn? The organization of yarn? The total yardage of the yarn?! LOL, I'm with Ingy, I took some photos several months ago and my stash as since remorphed....I sold 66 balls/skeins of yarn and bought more (maybe [probably] as much) and it does need reorganization,b ut I'm not sure I'm up for it today....perhaps later..is there a deadline?!

Now I've got to get off the computer, put down the needles cus I HAVE A JOB INTERVIEW TOMORROW!! Yay!

The job is a communications specialist for a school district -- I really, really, REALLY want this job --- so off I go to study up on interviewing tips and tricks. :woohoo:

I put some of mine up on Sunday.
But mine is vanishingly small in comparison to most knitters' I'm sure, and after the look of disbelief on my partner's face when he came into the room and only that much was out, I'm keeping the rest hidden for now. (he knows where I blog, and I still want to buy more this week... so many sales!)

The other day, I was really bored, so I organized my stash and took pictures.

Of course, I've also lost the cable that connects the camera to the computer. I'll post the pics if I find it (or get another cable!).

Ok, I've posted pictures of the rest of the stash (this is in addition to the original pictures). It is yarn from bags, yarn that was underneath the original pictures, I posted a link to a couple of other pictures of yarn that I didn't feel like copying over and re-posting.

Maybe after the 17th (the dreadedtaxday) I will post mine. I want to purge a bunch of stuff and de-stash it.

I already have an entire closet devoted to quilting. I have put some of my yarn-porn in there but not all of it.

I do like letah's storage system. Very nice. (in my best "borat" voice). I love stuff like that. And her stash just made me drool. Yummy.

So you guys haven't seen all the Flash Your Stash photos? Lots of people did it on April 1st, I think. If you go over to Knitty's forum and go the subforum of Generally Happy Things, find the thread for Flash Your Stash. There are pages and pages with links to people's stash pics. Some of them are really big. One woman had 80+ pairs of socks' worth of just sock yarn, not to mention the other yarn. There are some cool pics there.

Well, it sounds like I have a pretty small stash!

I need to update my Stash Album as I got a couple of beautiful yarns the other day that I ordered, and I am exchanged a few I don't really want any more. I will update those later today.

You can find my album in my blog, scroll down and you will find it on the right side. Just click on the album and there is my tiny stash! :teehee:

:waving: Hey ya'll! I finally posted mine. You will read why it took so long on my blog. Anyway, I did my flashing right here (http://whimsicalknitting.blogspot.com/2007/04/my-stash-is-flashing.html). Just click on the photos to enlarge them and you can then read what is typed on them....I mean i itemized all of my yarn....oops, I forgot 3 balls of sock yarn I'm using now for Lonnie's socks and...i didn't count the yarn that I no longer knit with. It was fun and i'm enjoying looking at everyone else's stash!
I can only hope that my stash contnues to grow and grow and grow, i want to have yarn all around me!
I have a dream....one day I will have a large stash like Ingrid's or Mama Bear's....yes, I have a dream :roflhard:
And, my dear friends....when next we do this PLEASE, PLEASE, some of you MUST say, "Becka, have you LOST your mind?! You can't be pulling tubs of yarn out from under the bed and putting it on the bed, back under the bed over and over!! Because, Becka, if you had sense you would know that it would cause your pain to INCREASE!"
It was fun, though
so, tell me.....are YOU willing to flash us, too?! :teehee:

EXPAND YOUR STASH! EXPAND YOUR STASH! EXPAND YOUR STASH!

Rebecca, are those the Knitting On/Over the Edge books between Knit Socks and 24 Hour Knitting Projects? And I have that issue of Knitscene on my desk right now. I want to make Butterfly.

I don't have a very big stash. I only have one Rubbermaid tote and a little plastic thing of 3 drawers with yarn. I will drag it out and take some pics though. I really don't like having a stash. To me it means I'm not doing enough knitting.

rebecca
04-15-2007, 11:47 AM
I'm no longer sad since you guys looked after I went thru the pain and agony (not even kidding!) of taking pics of the stash
Inis, it's a nylon ribbon yarn that R2 (R2 I believe is Rowan's label that is/was meant to be more "hip", "cutting-edge" etc for the "younger" knitting crowd) put out a couple of years ago, you can see some here (http://theknittinggarden.com/ro-mag-r2.htm). I had seen it on TV and wanted to try it and Elann had a great deal on it last year so I bought a bag to knit a tank or something, you can see it knitted up here (http://alison.knitsmiths.us/blueroom_fips/r2.shtml) as a little tank, but, as you can see here (http://www.englishyarns.co.uk/rowan_r2.html) I think they intended it for, as I said, the "hip/cutting edge" fashions of young very skinny models, in other words, not to be worn, LOL....but I think it will make a nice tank!

Girl, don't you have a good eye! Yes, they are both Knitting On/Over the Edge in there, I have them, LOL! I love, love knitting books and mags. U know, I have several faves, 2 of them being Barbara Walkers' Treasury 1 & 2 that were gifts from Amy (horve1) for my bday and Christmas...use them all of the time which is why they stay out!

LOL, I thought you might get a kick out of my salute to your Stash Flashing, Ing!
LOL, I just ordered from littelknits, too...but I do know what i got, LOL! It was funny, I knew right away that I wanted a bag of red Debbie Bliss Alpaca Silk dk for a beautiful Christmas shawl and accessories, then, when I sat down to order it took me ONE hour to decide on the color...what color do u think I finally got?! Why, the red, of course, LOL!!!

That's true, Curly T, I think we may have quite a few small (or large, Ingy ) fortunes in our knitty things!
LOL, ask Ingrid to show her addi's next, LOL...I love you Ing-A-Ling, that's why I'm messing with you and did the emoticon homage for you, My xxx http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y119/rebeccame/smilies/2queen2.gif
