Hi - I am a new knitter. I am so happy to find this forum as I do not know any knitters yet. My hubby surprised this afternoon with a skein of Catskill hand dyed Merino wool from the farmers market. They evidently dye with only natural substances. I would like to try a hat that looks a bit more professional than the first hat I knitted:(http://www.headhuggers.org/patterns/kpatt05.htm) The wool is so pretty I want to do it justice.
This would be the 2nd hat I have ever knitted, Any suggestions for a beginner? In the meantime I am waiting for a longer circular cable to come in the mail from Knit Picks for my first afghan.
Otherwise I have knitted a garter stitch scarf and a cable knit scarf.
