Hi y'all. I just finished this last night. It's from the Mason Dixon book, using the same colors (except for the creme, which I had to substitute) as the pattern required.

It's done in the log-cabin mode. Pretty neat type of patterning...easy.

This was very hard on the hands, though, because of using three strands (double-worsted yarn) at a time. I am glad to have it finished!

It's very thick and soft, so the effort was worth it!

That look great!
I've been wanting to make one of those, it's been on my ladies-in-waiting list for ages.

Great look! and I imagine how sore those hands would have been for sure! 3 strands is never easy. What size needles did you use?

I think I used 13's.

Thanks for the nice comments, y'all! I know it's not the flashiest...dd asked me why didn't I use "fun" colors. Hindsight... :teehee:

Yes. It's Peaches and Creme...100% cotton. Soooo soft on the feet and good to work with. I bought three cones and used most of them.

I made 1 with blues. I was only able to use 2 strands of that double worsted yarn though. My hands would not work with 3 strands. It is very soft and absorbent.
