Hi all
I find it difficult to believe in this day and age but there are people out there who prefer to sell only to people who happen to live nearby by sending a piece of paper with the purchased information on it - I mean really would you prefer to be available to sell to 290 million people in your country or 5 billion? Would you prefer to send a piece of paper through the post with all the ensuing complications and hassles rather than send an automated e-mail with that information for the same amount of money?

I want the Fiddlesticks pattern for these two lovely Whisper scarves: http://www.fiddlesticksknitting.com/WhisperLarge.html (hmmmm maybe the Peacock shawl too).
Does anyone know of a retailer that sells Fiddlesticks patterns as a pdf. that is downloaded or e-mailed? I can't find one and have had no reply to my e-mail enquiry (honestly you'd think that my money isn't good enough for people the way businesses have been treating me lately... sigh).
Any help appreciated... thanks
Sarah

The knitting zone carries the Fiddle stick (http://www.knittingzone.com/catalog/index.php?cName=by-designer-fiddlesticks) patterns and under ordering they have they ship world wide... I have ordered from them a lot :teehee: and they are very fast and helpful... :happydance:

Oh, man, am I hearing you Redwitch... the amount of patterns I CAN'T buy cause they won't give you a download .pdf version :?? Has me in a tizzy too, cause seriously, I'm not paying twice as much as the piece of paper cost, just for them to mail it to me!! They could all be making sooooooooooo much more money off me than they do at the moment, which is zip!

I missed the pdf thing.. some of knitting zone patterns they offer as pdf.. I have asked them why not all.. and they told me it depends on the company/designer and a lot of companies are not comfy with the pdf thing right now.. they are afraid it is to easy to make a copy for friends instead of having them buy it... they agreed with me how much easier it is and how they wished more would let them offer it as a pdf... so its not really the stores as it is fiddlesticks.. I love pdf patterns cause I don't have to wait for the item to get to me as well.. a lot easier...

I just went to have a look at that link to see how much they charge for international shipping (sometimes, that is a joke) and noticed that they are sold out anyway! Lol, so I guess, they are no go at the moment anyways.

This one seems to be in stock :)

What I did was look at the US stockists page, thumb through the list and click on links till I saw people doing international shipping.

Thanks all, I am stubborn too and refuse to pay for the paper version to be shipped to me here, I'll just have to go without unless I ever change my mind... thanks
