My friend has a blanket her grandma made here that looks exactly like the grandmothers dishcloth that is in the free pattern section of this site.
Does anyone have a pattern I could follow for a blanket? Or know how to do this pattern as a blanket? I'm kinda new and am not sure if it would work.
Thank you!

I made my daughter one when I first started to knit.. I just CO 4sts like the dish rag calls for and instead of stopping at 44sts to do the decrease I just kept going till I reached the width I wanted.. then started to decrease...
Here (http://www.knitting-crochet.com/disclobabbla.html) is a pattern I found online for ya though
I've also seen some run ribbon through the eyelets and make a bow in one corner that is also cute... :happydance:

so, just keep on knitting til it is as big as I'd like, I think she said her grandma used 10 skeins of lions pride wool ease, and then follow the decrease instructions same as in the dishcloth pattern?
I think I can do that! :teehee:
Thank you so much!!

This is the one from Lion Brand's site - http://cache.lionbrand.com/patterns/khs-diagonalBabyBlanket.html I like to do an extra row or two before I start the increases though. You can use different yarn and smaller needles, but it's the same as the dishcloth pattern.
