Hey, hope someon can help me here. I want to knit myself a pair of socks, I bought tofutsies yarn, so pretttttyyyy....  , oh, anyway, I would really like to knit the sock that is pictured on the label, it is an ankle sock. The same sock is also on swtc website, and on all their advertisements for the yarn. This will only be my second pair of socks, so I can't really just wing it, and I am madly in love with that sock now, obsessed really. So, can anyone help?

The Mock Cable Sock? Ummm... what do you actually need help with in regards to the sock?

I can't tell for sure, but the pic you posted looks just like a plain stockinette sock but with a shorter than average cuff. You could just use Silver's Sock Tutorial or any other generic stockinette pattern and just start the heel after only a couple of inches.

If it's just a short sock, do your ribbing, then do about ten or 15 rows of st st and then start the heel flap and finish as normal. I just finished a pair of shortie socks last night. Pic on my blog.

Thanks for the suggestions. I guess, because this is only my second pair of socks, I really need a pattern spelled out for me. Ie. how many stitches to cast on, how many stitches for heal, when to decrease. I guess I will keep looking and see if I can find a basic pattern. Thanks again for your help.

Look at the above patterns for construction technique.

Here is a list of patterns by yarn weight. The problem with tofutsies is it's even thinner than sock yarn so there aren't a lot of patterns out there.
