I was looking at the pattern b/c i am thinking about knitting it after seeing your B-E-A-U-tiful handywork. How is that garter stitch border going to be done? I'm not exactly understanding it... hmm. :??

I was thinking about doing a tutorial on the border, would that be of help to you? If I do, it will be located in this pattern's Knit Along.

Okay, I'll get started on that. I'll use a sample shawl, not my real one. It should be up in a few hours.

Your grandmother's shawl is gorgeous! What yarn is that?
Oh, and good work on the sock so far! (They're addicting, aren't they?)

i LOVE the shawl!!!!!!!!! and the socks are coming along great it looks like! :notworthy:

The yarn for the shawl is Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Bulky in Pewter. The socks are in Knit Picks Essential in Ash. They are pretty addicting, especially when you consider there are at least 5 different ways to make them.
