Dear Knitting Gurus-

On the CeCe pattern (ChicKnits), at the beginning of the rows, it tells me to SLP - Slip one stitch Purlwise.

Do I hold the yarn in front or back? Sometimes the following stitch is a P, sometimes a K. Do I hold the yarn according to the next stitch?

Thanks!!

If the slipped stitch is followed by a knit, bring the yarn around to the back. If the next stitch is a purl, bring the yarn around to the back and then back to the front between the needles.

Basically, when you slip a st, st least for myself, you slip it purlwise with the yarn in the back, and then, place the yarn accordingly to the next stitch you are going to do.

Thank you! That was my thinking, but I wanted to be sure.
Thanks again
