I need some hand-holding and help with this row of my La La Scarf (greetings from knit cafe pattern). I have 23 stitches on my needle. Directions are below.

Row 12: K3, sm, [yo] twice, [k1, wrapping yarn 3 times around needle] to next marker, [yo] twice, sm, k1, sm, [yo] twice, [k1, wrapping yarn 3 times around needle] to next marker, [yo] twice, sm, k3.

The use of multiples of brackets has me really confused!
