It was held up at Cynamar's for a while, but is on its way to kellyh57. Life got in the way.

Ahhhh! I understand. Life's been getting in the way of lots of stuff for me lately too :)

Whew! I hadn't checked in a couple days. It's great to know as I've been fretting at the 'silence'.... :D

I'm finished with my part and it's going out tomorrow! Here's some pics. I used Caron Perfecr Match in Sunflower. The pattern is called "Crossroads" (how appropriate!) out of "Knit & Purl."

:D The blanket was on my doorstep when I arrived home. Apparently the #)(&% mailman didn't have the decency to ring the door and let my daughter know it was here.

I love the Patons yarn you sent me Kelly. I am stoked because I almost bought the same yarn a couple months ago to try my hand at felting.... And you found the PERFECT color!

I have the box sitting next to my chair and will begin working on it after I visit my friend in the hospital.

Blessings,
Kat

Hey, is anyone missing a remote control? I found it when I unpacked the blanket. Cynamar, who had the blanket before me, isn't missing one so it's from someone further up the line. I have it at my house and can mail it to whoever it belongs to. Here's a picture :)

It rings a bell but I don't think it goes to anything that we currently use and I just can't swear that it's ours.

Well, despite what is happening with my friend Dawn, I have so far added about 1-1/4" of the pattern that I designed one night before I was told that my turn had finally arrived!. I have shared the blanket with friends at Books-A-Million and I plan on sharing it with Nancy at her new shop in Shreveport, LA. It is SSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOO yummy!

The more I look at that the more I'm sure that it's ours but we don't need it. Everything is working. It is funny!

:SnoopyDance: :knitting:My section of the blanket is complete. :woot:I will be taking a photo and posting it later. cloud9I want to share it with Nancy (Knitting Under The Influence of Nancy in Shreveport, LA [brand new LYS!]) before I send it on to Sandy.:grphug::muah:I tried to take my time. I even had to tink back several times to fix silly mistakes.:aww:

It was absolutely wonderful to be part of this beauty.:inlove:

Blessings,
Kat

Now, our blanket is ready to come home to North Carolina and be completed by me! :cheering:

Here it is! :D

The pattern I used was a knit "square" followed by a purl "square" followed by a garter "square". I offset each group twice so it forms a 3 by 3 grid. I don't know if this pattern has a name or not. It's what I came up with. ;)

Shandeh, it's ready to come home....

What a beautiful, luxurious gift. I've always admired glass knitting needles, but never thought I would actually OWN a pair. Thank you, Remclave! :muah:

And, of course, we can't forget that the beautiful BLANKET was in the package as well. I cannot get over how lovely this particular blanket has turned out to be.

After a year of on and off knitting to complete our large Oddball Blanket, I have finally reached the last row! :cheering:

Today, I am adding a crochet border, and our blanket will be ready to be donated. :)

I haven't been able to take a photo yet, because I've been under the weather lately. So, today, I put the completed blanket on my bed, so I could at least let you see how nice it is! I also folded it, so you can see the crochet border I added.

It's ready to go to charity! :cheering: :woohoo: :cheering:

Thank you Gail! :muah:
It feels SO GOOD to finally finish one of our big blankets.

Now, I'm on to the other 4 big ones, and 1 more lapghan. Then, our project will be complete!

It will be nice sending out our blankets to charity.

Our blanket has been hibernating in my craft room for the past year, and I decided it was long enough.

So, I pulled out the blanket, and immediately started sneezing like crazy. I then gave it a good wash, and confirmed the recipient of our blanket. Now, it's packed up and sitting in my car.

Tomorrow, I'll be mailing our blanket to the Yurok Indian Tribe (http://www.knitforhope.blogspot.com/) in California. They live in deep poverty, and will certainly appreciate our lovely blanket. cloud9

Hi Beth! These large blankets were our first projects in the Oddball Blanket Charity. Now, we have decided to only knit baby blankets and pet snuggles. The postage is much easier to manage.

Here is our main blog for all our blankets:
http://blanketfinder.blogspot.com/

You will find all our Oddball Baby Blanket groups (by region) and Pet Snuggles here in the KH Forum, and also on Ravelry.

Our blanket was mailed today!

Here is the confirmation number:
0310 0480 0000 3348 0257

We have already received one thank you from one of the people who handle the donations for the Yurok Indian Tribe:

"I just had to Ravmail you personally and thank you for doing this! I know that my mom will also want to thank you too, she sends out a thank you to every person who sends her anything. She might want to send a thank you to all the wonderful knitters who helped in knitting this too.
Again, thank you so much for this, especially with the winter coming up, it will be so appreciated for the warmth it will provide."
- Debbie

Our blanket was received by the Yurok Tribe, and was given to a deserving member. She looks very happy with it!
