I am going to start a sweater for DD2 using
this (http://www.woolworks.org/patterns/raglan.html) pattern. After you finish the raglan increases it says "Add one inch of stitches under the arm." How do I go about this? Do I just increase evenly on the next round?

I would take that to mean that you cast on an inch's worth of stitches (according to your guage) in each underarm area after you put the sleeves on waste yarn. Then when you go back to knit the sleeves, you'd pick up stitches from your cast on edge.

I agree. So if your gauge was 20sts/4", that would equal 5sts/1" so you would cast on 5sts at each underarm area once the sleeve stitches are put on waste yarn.

Would you use say a backward loop cast on or a cable cast on?
