I'm having trouble finding baby bootie patterns using worsted weight yarn. Does anybody have a favorite pattern they've used using worsted weight yarn?

Hi Cooks

Try here:-

The magknits pattern used worsted weight as a substitute yarn.

I have the most awesome baby bootee pattern. It makes nice bootees that tie, and don't easily come off. They knit up quickly too.
Now to find it.......

Well, this isn't in worsted weight yarn but you might be able to emprovise.

All the baby booties I have made are my own recipe. Here it is.

-Measure the baby's foot.

-Check your gauge to one inch.

-Multiply the number of stitches you get by the number of inches you want.

-Cast on, dividing the stitches on 4 double pointed needles with a quarter of the stitches on one, half of the stitches on the next one, and a quarter of the stitches on the next one.

-Knit the cuff and the leg.

-Work the heel of your choice in the stitch of your choice.

-Knit plain and then decrease for the toe, until you have 4 stitches on 2 needles, and then graft them together.

You are essentially making a small sock. I use the flap heel method, and work the flap in garter stitch for a baby. This is a double whammy, because this formula can be used for any sock, with any yarn and needles, and any yarn you want. The possibilities are endless.

I've made some booties (http://www.knittinghelp.com/knitting/forum/showthread.php?t=55405), using the fuzzygalore-link as inspiration. I've been following the directions but I've changed the stitch patterns.

Knit a swatch and find out how many stitches you have to knit per inch to get the right size and then start! It's really easy and yes, the possibilities are endless and you can use every stitch pattern you like.

I've been eyeing these. Did you find that pattern easy to follow?

It is the EASIEST pattern to follow. And when I made them for the first time I was a pretty new knitter.
