View Full Version : Whipped Cream Coverlet - finally finished!

I've been working on this pattern for months......:out:
During the middle of the process, it had been put aside for quite a long time because I was lost in a whole bunch of wonderful fantasy fictions...:oops:
Afterwards, I felt guilty and started knitting like mad :teehee: So! Here is the finished project:

The actual coverlet is supposed to be a bedspread with lots of those squares seamed together and the border for the outside frame, but since I did this as a practice of various kinds of stitches, I just did a little single piece of it.

The most difficult part for me was this... once the square got bigger and bigger, my DPNs became too short so I ended up using SEVEN DPNs at the same time all the way through... In fact, I'm quite proud after I finished it :grin:

That bedspread is the most gorgeous thing I've ever seen. I know I'll never make it, but it would be lovely on an antique four-poster.
