Based on the lace pattern in IK spring 07's lace nightie.

Thanks for the help with trying to figure out how to bind off the arm holes! This is the first time I've winged it, so to speak so any comments are welcome.

That is so cute! I love the detail. What yarn did you use?

05-26-2007, 06:22 PM
Thanks :D

I used bamboo yarn from http://www.discontinuedbrandnameyarn.com/index.html

Which I think someone on this board said is really SWTC bamboo, but without the label. Buying the bag of 10 balls at $4.25 each is a steal! I only sprayed it and blocked it and it flattened out nicely. Once I've weaved in the ends, I'll give it a good washing and that should soften it up, I'm told, because it's a tiny bit scratchy against the skin.

I posted the "how I did it" on my blog if anyone's interested (http://www.inthatnumber.com/?p=1183)

That turned out great! I just :heart: the color!

I really, really love the color, too. That's good since I have 7 balls plus most of another left.

I'm thinking of making the green tea raglan top out of it from the IK spring issue and maybe a Picovoli if there's enough.

250 yds/ ball seems to go really far!

That is so beautifully done. I'm not sure whether I envy the top more or your nice shape! I looked at your work and imagined how mine would wind up bulging around the arms or similar but your fit is so accurately good!

What stitch is in those bottom few rows at the hem?

GORGEOUS!!!!! :inlove: :inlove: :inlove:

Thanks againg. Wow...considering the calibre of knitters on this board, I'm kind of turning red here. This site is a major education in knitting and there are so many who kindly answer any questions.

Susan P., the row at the hem is a bunch of eyelets. You just to stockinette for a few rows, do YO k2tog, do stockinette, fold it and the YOs turn into picots.

I did a tutorial thing, not really a pattern because I'm not good at notes, over at my blog in case anyone is curious: http://www.inthatnumber.com/?p=1183
