Gosh that shrug looks super warm and cozy. Well done!

Did you see another thread somewhere where a poster's clogs were way too big despite felting but followed advice given here and they turned out almost perfectly? I assume one can't undo once felting has commenced but what problem are you having as they look great.

I guess I didn't make it clear on the clogs. I haven't made them yet. I am only in the process of making them. The picture is from the pattern I got. I have only gotten as far as the inner sole and the first 21 rows of the upper clog. Which I am going to attemp to reverese the last rows from 20 back to row 7 which is were I think I forgot to turn the work. There are ALOT OF TURNS in this project.

sorry the pic's are so fuzzy , I 'm useing my computer cam to take the photos. The colors in the shrug are different shades of blue jean colors with a bit of white. I have plans to make alot more of those in assorted colors. It was an easier project for me to handle, and I like the idea of this shrug. I have times when I'm cold and in 10 mins time I'll be hot and I hate something that I have to pull over my head! This works great!!

No need to apologise for the images..they're fine but thanks for explaining the clogs issue. I've never made them but your shrug for a first knit item is really very good. I know that hot/cold thing oh so well. Isn't middle age so fascinating *grin*

Lovely shrug!! What is the pattern?

Thank you! It's very plain but I like it. My knitting instructor says you can make them alot fancier. She made one that looks like it has sea shell patterns knitted into it, with open holes. Not ver warm that way but very pretty.

This is her Pattern:

Size 9 DPN's
cast on 48sts
k2,p2,rib for 4'' or 7'' cuff (I MADE THE 7''CUFF)
Increase to 96 sts by knitting into the front and back of each st,onto your circular needle.
knit back and forth until shrug is 4'' or 7'' less then arm length.

make sure you don't knit in the round. when you start the next round the next st doesn't connect to the last sts. You don't want to end up with a huge tube!

make other cuff and bind off.
I used a 32''US 7 80cm/4.5mm circular for the cuff and
I used 24''US 9 60cm/5.5mm circular needle for the shrug.I also made the length from cuff to cuff a bit longer as I have a long reach, and I sewed on the inside from cuff to the opening of inside shelve up for about 2'' I think it give the shrug more strenght at the shleve and cuff.

Let me know how it comes out. I'm on my way to get more yarn to start my next one!!

also ,you can make the cuff on circular needle but I haven't seen any video's here to demo that ! I did try it and I thought it was easier then the dpn's
shrug folds over to make collar on it's own
