I first saw this beautiful sweater on the Yarn Harlots blog two days ago. I loved it and knew I wanted to make it too.:oo:

After some research  I found a shop that is selling the kit for only $34.00. I just got off the phone and placed my order. I think it's just beautiful.:cheering:

Here is the place I got it from..scroll down a little and the picture is there.

I saw it and loved it, too. I just wish they sold it w/o the yarn..pattern only.

ETA: Spoke too soon! I see they DO sell the pattern only!

Yes, that site has the pattern only, the whole kit AND just the yarn and they call it "refill". So they pretty much have it every way anyone could possibly want to order it...except finished.:rofling:

That's lovely but from a quick look I gather I could not get the pattern online? (Purchase I mean).

I'm also wondering how a boy pattern would be different from a girl's for that sort of item and age!

You can call or send an email.

To order the The Tulip Baby Sweater please give the shop a call at 952-401-7501 we're open Monday - Saturday (see our hours above)
or send an email to info@coldwateryarn.com with the following information:
Your name, mailing address and telephone number
The quantity and type you would like (girl with pattern, girl refill, boy with pattern, boy refill)
Your Visa or Mastercard number with the expiration date.

I think the colors are what make it different in this case.

I really have no idea on the size of this. I wont' know until I receive the kit.

YES, you can order just the pattern. Read their site and all of the information is there. I'm sure if you called and asked them they'd have the size information. Let the rest of us know if you do! Otherwise when I get the kit I'll post here about the sizing too.:cheering:

I like this pattern for a boy much better...take a look below....

Wow..I got the kit in the mail TWO days after I ordered it. Now that's great Customer Service!!:cheering:

The size on the sweater says size 6 to 9 months. Finished chest measurment is 20 inches and finished length is 11 inches.

The kit yarn is "Worsted Superwash Merino" and the sweater is knit from the top down with no seaming.:happydance:

Has anyone made this? I'm wondering if it would be good for a first sweater. I've been knitting for a year. Mostly socks, a Branching Out Scarf and I'm currently working on a lace baby afghan for my niece.

Thanks for any advice. I'm hoping to find a pattern with NO seaming, knit from the top down.

Go to the Knit-a-Long forum (KAL) and there is thread there where at least one person is making it.

Is that the baby sweater the Yarn Harlot has been making? And making and making??? I think she's finished three! If it is that one, there are photos on her site posted yesterday. It's a beautiful sweater! samm

I like those colors too.

I just found out that my LYS in Fond du Lac, WI has both the boy and girl pattern for sale as well as kits if anyone is interested. They do not have a web page, but can be reached by email at theknittingroom@charterinternet.net or by phone at 920-906-4800.

I just bought the girl's kit today and can't wait to start.

My LYS, The Knitting Room in Fond du Lac, WI has the patterns for both the boy and girl versions of this sweater. You can see both here at the Dream in Color site http://www.dreamincoloryarn.com/pages/patterns.html

I just bought the kit for the girl's Tulip sweater and can't wait to start. The yarn is beautiful in both color and how it feels.

I was the one who posted about the Knit Along. I just finished it.

It is a very easy pattern and there are no seams in this. The only part that stumped me was the ICord. I know how to make one and that's easy but I could not figure out how to make it while attaching it to the sweater at the same time.

The yarn I LOVE. I plan to make it again in a larger size.

I mean at a different site they show a totally different style sweater for a boy using the same brand yarns but with more boyish colors. I'd like to order that one.

This is the one I like for a little boy. Scroll down a bit on the page.

You know..now that I look at that sweater...I bet I could do it using the pattern I already have. It looks pretty easy. The only difference is the trim. hummmm...now to buy the yarn.
