An online pal of mine announced her pregnancy while I was going through a miscarriage. Even though I wanted to make her something, I haven't been able to even think about making a baby item until now.

using just plain ol' red heart baby soft yarn. Pattern is here (http://www.coatsandclark.com/Crafts/Knitting/Projects/BabyChild/LW1494+Knit+Jacket+and+Hat.htm):

The sweater is coming out beautiful. Your doing a wonderful job on it. Can't wait to see it when it's finished.

Thank you so much for sharing the pictures and the pattern for it.:cheering:

Heather,

The color shows off the cables so nicely!!! :inlove:

I think it's wonderful that you're able to reach out to her in such a personal way despite your own loss.

I've never made a sweater before, so I'm nervous about the "putting together" part.

I love cables too. Every time I make something with cables, I look at it like "wow, look what I did!"

What a nice gesture! I used that exact yarn/color for my new nephew last year and was very happy with how it handled and turned out.
