I ordered some patterns from Crafty Alien's Etsy site. She makes the most awesome stuff. My daughter wanted me to make the clam so I did. I'm not 100% happy with it. For one thing, I don't think I felted it long enough. Also, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't make a french knot for the eyes (which were a total PITA anyway). But I think he's still pretty cute and my daughter loves him, which is the important thing.

Animation goes knit! It is very sweet and if your daughter loves it that's the best client comment of all :-) I really like it and think it very well made overall.

OK, I need to make one of these for my dad. In RI, where I grew up, we call clams "quahogs." Every summer, my dad participates in The Quahog Festival, which raises $50,000 or so through the Rotary. He's in charge of all the food for the 2 day event, which is HUGE.

He needs one of these. So, where do I get a pattern or kit?

Thanks.

EDIT: I found it! Oh, and they had a siamese cat one too, which I also had to have. Now I just need a pug pattern. Thanks so much!

Thanks for looking everybody! Yes, Crafty Alien is so awesome. I definitely look forward to her stuff. I bought Swat Team Kitties, Surfs Up, Buggin Out and Backyard Critters v1 and v3.

Quiltlady, we don't eat clams (or much seafood at all) around here so I guess he's safe. lol

I don't like most clams-- find them a bit slimy. But that is one clam I do like! Adorable.

HA! I'll be driving from FL to RI in a few weeks and will think of you as I eat some stuffies. My mom makes the best I've ever eaten. They sell hundreds of these babies at the festival. Clam cakes and chowder, yummmmmmmmmm................

UGH! Now I'm hungry!

stitchwitch, I'll probably make the lobster because my daughter likes him, but she doesn't seem too interested in the octopus.

Hi Sabrina!

OK, so I just sat down to start my clam and I'm already confused.

Row 1 says "K1, (M1,K1) 6 times. How can I do that if I've only got 7 stitches cast on? Doesn't the M1, K1 part take up 2 stitches? I'm supposed to end up with 13 st.

Am I reading the pattern wrong?

Grrrrrrrrrrr...........................
