I wanna try and make my first felted project, the Stripey strap bag from lion brand. And I mayb wanna try and make a matching scarf (with the same stripe pattern of 10 rows of one color and 2 rows of the other alternating). :happydancing: Do I put the bag together before I felt it or after I felt it?

thanks in advance

it looks like you sew it together first, then felt.
(looking at the instructions, down at finishing)

looks cute- and the idea for a matching scarf sounds fun. gonna felt that too?

Last summer I discovered felting. What great fun it has been. Some great unshapely piece of loose knitting goes into the washing machine and comes out with a new and usable identity. I have made several hand bags and have put them together before felting with the exception of the inside parts of the pockets, these got sewn down after felting, blocking, and drying.

I am on the egde of felting my first piece myself here. I posted pic's in my blog . I haven't posted pic's of the tote yet. Both clogs and tote will get felted very soon and I AM VERY NERVOUS. I have heard some sad horror stories of felting gone wrong here.....
