Hello! I had a question I was hoping someone could help me with. Please and thank you. :)

I had never knitted a cable before, I was very excited when I found a pattern for one on the internet recently that seemed to be in my grasp; so decided to try it. For the first six rows it went surprisingly well, but it said at the top of the pattern that it would cross every six rows, what does it mean when it says this? Is there another step that I should take after I complete the first six rows, and before starting again?

This is the pattern:

6/6 Cable
This six stitch cable is crossed every six rows. Multiple of 10
Rows 1 & 3 (WS): K2, p6, k2
Row 2: P2, k6, p2
Row 4: P2, sl next 3 sts to cable needle and hold in back or front, k3, then k3 from cable needle, p2
Row 5: K2, p6, k2
Row 6: P2, k6, p2

I would be tickled pink if I could do a cable, :roflhard:
Thank you in advance! :)
Allison

The first cross is row 4 of your directions, so I am assuming that it means after that it will be every 6 rows. so, just repeat those 6 rows and you will have a cable that crosses every six rows, just not on the 6th row. Hope this helps.
