This: http://www.elann.com/ShowFreePattern.asp?Id=187024 is the coolest thing I've ever seen.
Do you think it would be bad to do this as a first felting project? I've already ordered my KnitPicks Options set, so it should be coming soon, and I really want to do a cool circular project on it. I've never felted anything, but do you think this is an option? It's exactly the project I'm looking for, really...

I just finished this project and for a somewhat "new" knitter, it was fairly understandable. If you have any questions, just let me know! I thought it was a cute pattern and my sister is majoring in music at Luther College, so I wanted to make this especially for her. Good Luck!

naturaly white yarn or dyed yarns will felt. but a 'white' yarn that has been bleached to become white tends to either not felt or take much longer to do so.
i used patons natural to make booties for my dd, they felted great!
