I just made this teddy bear for my great nephew's first birthday gift. I'm really proud, because this is the first toy I've ever made.

The pattern is called "Harry Bear" and it's from the free patterns on Berocco's website. The yarn is called sprinkles, but I'm not sure what company makes it.

That's cute. The yarn makes me think of a sky with clouds.

Sprinkles is the yarn I made 2 bears with. How did you like working with that yarn. I didn't enjoy it because it snags on any little dry skin. I found if your hands are hydrated well it's easier to work with. Kinda like Homespun, I'm in no hurry to knit with Sprinkles again.

Your bear is cute! Great job!!

It was very difficult at first, but after I got used to it, it was ok. I had to really pay attention to where the actual stitch was, because I kept sticking my needle into the little fuzzies, and it would tangle. I started over several times, before I got the hang of it. Needless to say, I'm in no hurry to knit with sprinkles again either.

Thank you for the compliments, folks. It really is encouraging.

I love it ! Very cute!! I agree with Nuknitter it is nice to see some one's FO for that pattern . I wasn't crazy about the yarn color choice in the picture they have with the pattern and just couldn't get past it. Now that I see how cute it can be I must make one(or 3)!

That's a cute pattern. for the one I made, it's a front and a back piece, seamed together and stuffed. Is this one the same way?

No it was knit in pieces. Head, body, arms and legs all done seperate then sewn on. But for the arms and legs, you sew through the body to the other leg/arm so that the arms/legs are movable. It knits up very fast on size 8 needles.

Finished size is about 12 inches
