I haven't had a lot of luck so far.

I'm trying to find a pattern for a top-down men's raglan pullover with minimal seaming - I hate doing it and all the patterns I've found thus far have been from the bottom up. If anyone knows of one (free or not, not important if it's a good pattern) please let me know!

I'd like the stitch pattern to be fairly simple, but if it's really gorgeous I'm willing to make an exception. Not really looking for too much cabling or anything like that.

There's a page at http://www.knittingfool.com with a topdown raglan sweater pattern generator. Just plug in your gauge and your size and you're good. You could use any sort of stitch pattern - stockinette, 4x2 or 5x2 rib; find another stitch pattern you like and use it on the basic sweater. sue

The site has tons of stitch patterns too, most of them from Barbara Walker's knitting Stitch books. Not all of them have pictures, though..

Hmm trial and error then lol. Don't think I'll be trying that. I'll definitely check out what they have though.

It's a good resource when you've heard of a stitch and want to check out how to make it. sue
