Isn't this top gorgeous!? Esp for hot weather. I really want to make this but I don't have any nylon yarn. Do you think it'll be alright with cotton? I have lots of cotton.... (sorry I can't do that THIS thing and have to do the link, I forgot how)

You should be able to make it in a lightweight cotton blend. Something that won't be too heavy for the drapey neckline. sue

I think cotton is a great alternative for that top. Berocco makes a cotton/modal blend called Touche that would be perfect for it and its not expensive either. I love that top also!

I really liked that pattern too -- but unfortunately I don't think it's a good look for me :(.

Thanks Ingrid, I'll take a look at hers.
Arielluria... those are both pretty tops but I LOVE the white garnstudio one. Looks a bit difficult though. Are you doing it in white?

I don't have the yarn yet, but that's the plan. I love white summer tops. BUT, if I find a beautiful teal or something I'm always tempted.

Yes, white summer tops! I live in white tee shirts myself. Keep us posted if you make that top. I'm going to have another look at it to see if I could do it.

I like to knit this summer-top, too....I want to knit it for my daughter and I`m searching for a cotton-linen-silk-mixture, because I think it will be nice to work, when sun is shining
and nice to wear in summer...
I will tell you more, when I know the material....

I'm making Coachella right now. It's easy and fast. I estimate it will be the fastest knit wearable I've made, second only to the thong. I should be done by tomorrow to post pics.
There's a KAL here:

Hi myosotis! Yes, it's really a fun looking top too.
I mean fun to make! Keep us posted when you find the yarn, I'm trying to figure out which yarn to use.
Mwedzi... I'll check out your blog, I'll bet you'll make that baby fast! Ohhhhh, I just looked at it! It's gorgeous! It's the best one there actually. The color is perfect, kind of silvery huh and what did you say the yarn is (or did you?)
I hate brassieres as I like to call them, hardly every wear them anymore. Wonder if I can get away with that! with this top I mean
