DH wants me to knit him a sweater similar to this one. Any ideas where I could find a pattern?? Thanks!

wow! i had to really dig to find something close to what you're looking for. this is $1.29 to download from knitpicks. it looks like it had some really useful skills (saddle shoulders and % system) and you could make it in the bare peruvian highland wool for pretty cheap ($3.49/220 yards) and dye it yourself. i would start the contrasting color at about armpit (sorry :aww:) level and do the saddle shoulders in the same color. i think that will accomplish something similar to what i see in that pic.

i think i will make this for my dad for christmas.

Thank you for looking so hard for me! DH says "no, there's no collar" (apparently that is something he wants :) )

So if anyone else has another suggestion, I'm still looking! :)

Take a look at these and see if any fit the bill.

couldn't you just add 1.5-2" of 2x2 ribbing for a collar?
