I am looking for a legwarmer pattern for a child. Does anyone have any ideas? I'd like to make some for my two little cousins, both of whom take dance. One is 4 years old, the other is 11. Any ideas?

--Measure around the child's leg and subtract an inch.
--Find some yarn you like and knit a swatch to determine how many stitches to cast on.
--Knit a tube on circulars to the length you want.

--You can do the whole thing in ribbing for a snug-fitting legwarmer
or just knit an inch of ribbing at the beginning at both ends
for a looser fit. If you like the floppy look in legwarmers, knit them a little longer.
