Hi All!

Last summer I bought some bamboo yarn and I'm currently making the Katia Cindy butterfly pattern (for MYSELF! Woo Hoo!!!) here: (http://www.elann.com/productdisp.asp?NAME=Katia+Cindy&Season=&Company=&Cat=ALLY&ProductType=5&OrderBy=&Count=77)

Though the charts appeared very daunting at first, it's actually a very easy knit, as the pattern stitch remains the same throughout. I'm almost finished with the second "wing".

I'm going to have lots of yarn left over, since there were (I think) eight large skeins of each color. Soooooo, I went looking for something else to make out of it...I just *love* the feel of it, so soft & silky, just beautiful! It's quite touchy about splitting, though, so I've been using hand cream like crazy as my work tends to beat up my hands quite a bit...and I've been religious about actually wearing my gloves (as opposed to forgetting them on the seat of the truck...).

Anyway, found this lovely shawl pattern here. (http://www.yarnmarket.com/yarn/South_West_Free-Mariposa_Bamboo_Shawl_Free-1549.html) (Click to enlarge the picture.)

Gorgeous, no?

BUT, even though it says the pattern is free...you have to buy the yarn to get the pattern :pout:.

Has anyone out there actually gotten this yarn & pattern? If so, would you be willing to share? Or, in the alternative, has anyone found a similarly structured lacey shawl pattern that you could point me to?

Thanks for any help or responses.

Diane

A great big THANKS!!! you guys. :happydance:

You know, it's funny...I was thinkin that noone had responded until I came back & searched for my post & lo & behold...SEVERAL answers, and they didn't come to me in my email like they always had in the past. Guess I've gotta figure out some more new things here...I thought I had things set to automatically send responses, guess not...:wall:

Anyway, thanks again!

Diane

P.S. 3 butterfly wings done...
