in a moment of utter weakness, i succumbed to the draw of the handmaiden sea silk, and now i have 3 glorious skeins, in the colorway midnight - i bought it, patternless, in the hopes that i would find something that inspired me. i don't see myself wearing a shawl, really, so i was thinking something more along the lines of a stole, maybe clapotis-like, but i don't know how to adapt that pattern for a fingering weight yarn, and i'm not positive i have enough to double - all together, its about 1300 yards. sooo...if anyone has any suggestions, i am all ears - i have perused knittingpatterncentral.com, but i didn't see anything that jumped out at me...
