Has anyone used the 'wrap method' for small diameter circular knitting (such as for making hats and stuff)? I discovered it while looking through a knitting book yesterday. I'd never heard of it before yesterday. Anyone else use that method?

Is it the tubular method in which the yarn is wrapped around pegs on a cylinder to start the circular piece?
