You need to add 3-5! :) I have 3. The two you see mentioned below and one lace scarf I really have to concentrate on...so it doesn't see much work right now

I'm in the 3-5 category too.

Me too, but I picked the 2 option because one of my WIPs has pretty much been abandoned due to being boring. :teehee:

I'm another one in the 3-5 category. Right now I have 4 going - I like to have one "big & boring" like a sweater with expanses of st st; one challenging (currently the lace wrap project); a small "take & go" - usually dishcloths; and finally a "relaxing knit" for the end of tough days (currently the Dark Mark Illusion Scarf) that I don't have to concentrate too hard on and can just unwind as I knit...

I'm a 2 at the moment. I try really hard to stay monogamous but sometimes I just can't.....If it get's more than 2 then I generally end up with a UFO :(

Three wasn't an option so I didn't answer the poll. :teehee:

Um... I finished up a few today, but I'm pretty sure the WIP count is still above 20... :aww:

I'd say I'm between 5 and 10--some just need a bit and some are awaiting cooler weater to sit in my lap. I'm actively working on 2, if that counts.

I have three... :) But I would only have two if I didn't already promise to make something for someone back when I was new and bad at kntiting... so it's kind of sitting there and letting me scowl at it.

So it SHOULD be two :hair:

I've just got one since I'm knitting feverishly on a baby blanket to finish in time for a baby shower. There are about 10 things I want to have OTN, though.

Ive tried to add more to the poll but I don't see how. I have another poll on my blog that I think I'll post here. I think the results are interesting.

I have about five projects going on at once! Some need to be taken off.....

I'm in the 5-10 category....I'll get a lot more accomplished once the kids are back in school....for some reason I don't get as much knitting accomplished in the summertime....I'm famous for starting things but finishing....that's another story!

I limit myself to 4. One is a shawl I don't want to finish. Then a scarf I'm halfway done with. I'm also swatching for a sweater. So I could start one more but I won't.

I also have a lace shawl but that one doesn't count because it's not even on the needles anymore, it's on some cotton yarn because I needed the cable!

I'm to 4 or 5, there's at least 2 projects I hate that I havent been able to force myself to frog or finish. the perpetual dishcloth. and I'm trying out a pattern for a blanket to see if I might stick with it to actually finish the thing. I just finished a pile of little heart pins for my Mom's 70th b'day party tonight- little red crochet hearts from one skein wonders. (love that book!)

I'm at 4, and one of those is a shawl I also don't want to finish. I was sailing away on a scarf until I got some sock yarn yesterday - it is self-striping and I am obsessed!

Hm...I voted one, but I forgot that I was working on Mystery Stole 3 as well. Usually I have more, but I just got a spinning wheel, and it's taking most of my attention :teehee:

Two on the needles. One sweater and the everpresent washcloth.

I try really hard to avoid SABLE and more than two WIP with my knitting. :shifty:

My sewing WIP and SABLE is scary, so I'm exercising extreme discipline with the yarn! One big apple box is all I'm allowed and two WIP, one easy and one not so easy.

Does anyone think that they would be able to work on one project at a time? I couldn't.

At this moment I have four but one of them is tabled until further notice. i will have about six on tap once the wool arrives for the Christmas pressies.

I have 3 going at the moment - a baby blanket, a scarf, and a sock!

I actually could work on one at a time, but I'm trying to diversify. That's why I make a constant effort to keep more than one on the needles. I get really obsessive and can't stop working on something, so I usually work on finishing it straight away once I've cast on. I'm trying to make myself enjoy the process, instead of feeling bad that I'm not finished. So I make an effort to work on a couple things at a time!

I'm w/ you, RedheadRachel! I have 2 on the needles right now. I only started doing more than 1at a time a few months ago. I'm totally a project knitter. I'm trying to learn to enjoy the process more.
I've also found that I can knit almost anywhere, so I've put a project in my purse that I only work on in odd moments.

I just started WIP number six and seven. I think that I'm nuts but I can't work on one at a time. :zombie:

I am also in the 3-5 category right now. I have a Pretty In Pink Toddler Dress & Cardigan that I have stalled out on, hopefully will pick back up when school starts again on August 13th! :woohoo:Then I have a sock started, a cuddle bunny, and a sweater swatch for a sweater that has to be done by the end of August. Oh yea, don't forget the two baby afghans that I have going on the crochet hooks. Not even going to count the patterns I have pulled and in order to knit that way. :zombie: I don't think I could ever have just one project going at a time. Might lose my mind then. Oh wait a minute, I already have lost that.

I've got a short attention span!!

Seriously, my projects are geared more towards clothing and accessories so, it really depends how I'm feeling about the item, the repetition, the timeframe for completion, what I have the time to concentrate on or what I can just grab and go with.

Except for the Hoodie, that's a fall/winter item, the rest on my list are under 2 months old so, they all get finished in a pretty timely fashion! :happydance:

I'm only very recently into knitting polygamy, and I don't like it. I want to be down to one project.

OTN: market bag made of homemade plastic grocery bag "yarn"; my first sock; my second swiffer cover

P.S. I voted for 2

I am VERY COMFORTABLE AND HAPPY being a monogamous knitter, true to the project on the needles. But, in the last couple of months I've had to set aside things I was working on to knit for my secret pal and this or that bday, etc and I DON'T LIKE IT!!! I will be EXTREMELY HAPPY when I'm back to knitting one project at the time!
