I wanted to take part of the Harry Potter knit-a-long, and this is my finished bag. Took the idea from the last HP book, used the free Booga Bag pattern http://www.blacksheepbags.com/booga_bag.html and a textured stitch pattern from Nicky Epstein's, Knitting Never Felt Better. I had never felted before, so I sewed in the cell-phone pocket afterwards. Now I need to find a button and reinforce the bottom. The truest color is the 2nd pic of whole bag. Now I wonder how much stuff I put in here?

Very. Very cute and it is just adorable. As for a button, if you want something really special, try this site. It has thousands of buttons and you would be sure and find just the right one there. I have used it several times for the perfect buttons for a project, even buying a single button for a bag I made for my girlfriend for her birthday.

I love the texture added by the stitch pattern at the bottom. And the color, too. Great bag!

It's a great booga bag AND it magically expands to fit all the Harry Potters... I don't think Hermione's bag can get much more authentic than that!! Rock on :knitting:

Any idea where I could find an otter button? Maybe silver? Something to represent Hermione's patronus.
