They rode out on the last coach :) I'm not 'horsey' but..why is it called howrse?

Horse.com was already taken. Did you make an account?

It's a "game" of sorts for kids. My 12 yr old niece plays it all the time. ;) I don't think it'll interest too many adults which is why so few responses sugarfunpouch. I think you are probably one of the youngest if not the youngest one in the forum. :)

No, I didn't. I thought from your sig it was a horse fan site...like..talking about trail riding and pony clubs and grooming etc :)

08-14-2007, 04:04 PM
No you have a virtual horse and take care of it, etc.
BTW: My mare is pregnant and the ultrasound told me it was a black Connemara colt!
Any name suggestions?

08-14-2007, 04:21 PM
Well, Connemaras are from Ireland, orginally, so how about something Irish? :)

Irish names are nice - the Irish show Ballykissangel came to mind :)

This is a site for traditional Irish names. I would join a couple together that you like...?:

I'm sure there must be a girls page similarly.

08-15-2007, 03:20 PM
I have one Connemara, but tomorrow it will be two! So far 5-6 people have signed up!

08-15-2007, 05:17 PM
i signed up as i like to waste lots of time during the day.. (i should knit more!) i picked a connemara too, and named her after my dd (her name is Makenna, so i named my horse kenna) I am still trying to get the hang of this! it's fun though, thanks for sharing!

08-15-2007, 07:11 PM
Aww...my mare just had her baby! I named him Pepper!

08-15-2007, 08:12 PM
how do i get to the next morning? i put her in her box and told it to put her to bed in her box. according to the horse history it's 24:00. is she sleeping? if i age her, will it tell me (again :( ) that she didn't get her sleep and is sleep/energy deprived?

08-15-2007, 08:28 PM
At around 8:00am it's the next morning. To check if she's sleeping, go to her and then click on the MY horses tab above her name. If you see zzzzz's she's sleeping. You can age her if you want, but you have a limited amount of aging points. All horses share the points, so use them wisely. If she doesn't get at least 10 hours of sleep then she will lose energy. When she wakes up, she will be 2 months older. When she is 6 months old you can put her in an equestrian center. My friend opened one it's called Bellezza Maestosa (owned by crAmbA). My horse Samantha currently resides there. For more info, check out the guides or mail me!

Update: I have sponsored 10 people so far!

08-15-2007, 08:32 PM
thanks for the tip! will she wake up tomorrow? or will it progress fast today(like feeding or ridind)? she is boarding at goldenheart stables

08-15-2007, 08:36 PM
That's supposed to be a good center. She should wake up tomorrow! Progress fast? The older she is the more you can do with her!

08-15-2007, 08:38 PM
she is 1 yr 10 months.

08-15-2007, 08:43 PM
Tomorrow she will be 2! Yay!

08-17-2007, 02:27 PM
Any more questions?

08-21-2007, 06:15 PM
I opened up my own eq centre! It's called Sugar Sweet Horses! Here's the link to the homepage. http://www.howrse.com/centre/fiche?id=75249
When it is time to board your horse at an eq center you can do two things.
1. Type in Sugar Sweet Horses for the name of the center.
2. You can type in sugarfunpouch in the search users eq center.

very cool you have your own EC! my horse is doing great, except it keeps tellingme she's not getting enough sleep:shrug: not sure how to fix that! everythng i try i still get that response the next day.

08-21-2007, 08:29 PM
Make sure she gets 10 hours of sleep! Ie you put her to bed at 4pm then she should sleep to 2am at the least!

08-22-2007, 05:38 PM
Everything is set up at my centre! PM me here or on Howrse if you want a reserved spot!

08-25-2007, 01:05 PM
Someone opened up a forum about horse, here's the link.
Tell the I.mpulse guy that I refered you.

08-25-2007, 04:43 PM
Only one box left at my eq center!

08-29-2007, 04:58 PM
Update: Carrots now at eq centre!

08-29-2007, 06:41 PM
I just got myself a horse (tofu:teehee:)...and I can't figure out how to put her in her box so she can sleep!

08-29-2007, 06:42 PM
oh and it says she's only 6 mnths old so I don't need to get her an eq center..but I still don't know how to make her sleep

EDIT: nvm..it says she's still younger thn 6 months..so I guess I don't have to make her sleep yet..

08-30-2007, 12:25 PM
She sleeps with her mom for now, once she is 6 months she can go to an eq centre!

I'm a vet now! Just give me your username on horse and I can view your horses potential, BLUP, and see if the baby if pure or mixed! (IE. 50% Connemara %0% Arabian.)

09-02-2007, 03:26 PM

09-03-2007, 12:26 PM
