felted bag! It only took me 5 days!
this is going to be a Christmas gift to my sister.
I made it using Lion's wool "winter white" that I purchased at walmart. They didnt have the dark red that I was looking for, so I dyed the yarn to make the red flower using kool-aid (which was something that I had always wanted to try, I used black cherry/tropical punch). I made the handle myself (using a special "braid knot" that my dad showed me when I was little) with some of that silky curtain rope that was in the walmart sewing section.
The cord used to tie the bow is just a thinner rope.
I'm sad that I finished it so soon though, because now I have to wait till christmas to see how she likes it... oh well, i have several other older sisters (im the youngest) and they all need bags too. hooray
