I have fallen in love with your cabled hat and scarf. My question is--- Could I cast on 120 sts (as for the Hat) and knit(cable) for 24/30 inches and then giving the fabric a half twist, do the Kitchener stitch to graft the ends together. Making a shoulder scarf/Mobius Band?
I was also thinking of making the scarf at only 2 cables wide and turning it into a head band? (maybe with a twist as well.)

Are the possibilities endless?

Oooh, since it's reversible, I bet that would work out very well.

I don't see why not! If you want to make it wider or narrower, the cast on # should be in multiples of 12 for circular knitting and multiples of 12 +4 for flat knitting. :thumbsup:

Thank you for the added information about the pattern repeats. That helps a lot. I have some Mohair in a silvery royal blue that I thought would make a Mobius strip but wanted just the right pattrn. I took your pattern to the LYS today and 3 people said "Oh, You have to print that off for me!" It's a hit.
