Hi all, this is my first post on these forums, but I've been reading through them for a while. I need some help substituting a yarn and I figure this is the best place to ask :)

I am going to knit a cabled pullover and the pattern uses Zitron Loft Classic yarn. I've looked online, and at stores near me but I can't find it. It's also a bit too expensive since I need about 14 balls of it. I was wondering if anyone has used it and/or knows what a good substitute might be? I was looking at some of the bulky yarns at Knit Picks but I wanted to see if anyone had any advice before I got a ball to make a gauge/practice swatch with.

Thanks :)

It looks almost flat and tape-like in the picture here.

I don't personally know of any yarns, but you can use Yarndex (linked above) to find other bulky yarns that might work for you. You can search by weight, fiber, texture, etc. Be aware though that when using a different yarn your results may not look exactly like the pattern.
