View Full Version : Mindless shawl

Does anyone remember an editorial-style article at the back of the large format knitting magazines maybe a year ago - called *Mindless Knitting*? There were general instructions there for making a shawl using different kinds of yarn, starting at the *point* and increasing on each side. I'm looking for that article OR any directions of making such a simple shawl.

Look at the Charity knitting shawl threads, I'm sure that's the same pattern. There's one here - http://www.straw.com/cpy/patterns/tri-gar-shawl.html and I saw another one yesterday, but can't remember where that used stockinette and either garter or reverse st st.
Aha! Found the other one... http://www.cosmicpluto.com/blog/?p=443
though it's knit from the neck down, you only CO 5 sts

Here are a few more that are fairly simple: http://www.berroco.com/193/193_phyllis.html

Your first one, Suzeeq, was exactly it! Thanks! Thanks to the rest of you too for other interesting shawls!
