This is the first thing i've ever knitted for my mom. I've done stuff for my sisters and my kids but thats about it. Sorry if my info about the yarn and stuff is off i really just can't remember it's been a while since i bought it and it didn't come with a label....

So its double strand of finger weight superwash wool on US 10 needles. It was bare then i dyed it with koolaid which gave it a really nice orangey color. Then I re-dyed it with Rit Dye in tan to make it less bright, even thought i liked it bright my mom really wanted it a not so bright color. The last picture shows the real color better. The pattern i got from Knit Picks it was named after the yarn i was suppose to use (treasure) but i think over all the pattern is a basic feather and fan?? right...wrong??? i dunno i just thought it looked nice:teehee:

Ooh!! Very nice. I like the pattern and your work is beautiful. I bet your Mom really likes it. The color is great! I never thought of using dye on a finished project.
