View Full Version : Time Machine - Post Your Baby Picture!
09-12-2007, 04:04 PM
We had an employee appreciation event today at work and part of the entertainment was a game matching employees with their baby pictures. I thought about the forum and wondered if you guys thought it would be fun to post our own baby pictures here?
At the risk of being the only one to do so - this is me circa 1961!
Come on - dig out those cute little pictures and scan 'em in - don't make me call someone!
Alrighty then...here's me...

Apparently my parents did not have a camera when I was a baby but this is the youngest one I could find. About 5 years old. 60 years ago!!!:happydance:

Eeee everyones sooo cute. :heart::heart:
Here is me, around 1985-86 I was around 1 or 2 in the pic, youngest one I have of me on the comp and in the house.
I look exactly the same from birth to now, except when I was a baby I was bald... and Now I am much more freckly and less chubby cheeked. lol..
And since my face is hidden in the one... I'll toss in another. I am definitely 2 yrs old in the picture with the flowers. I was to be the flower girl in my aunts wedding and my mom was testing out styling my hair. When she got it just right she took this picture, so she'd know what to do on the day of the wedding.
Apparantly, 2 yr olds dont make great flower girls. I ran down the aisle bawling and screaming for my daddy. lol.

I do not have any of myself as we had a house fire when i was young.
But i must say you were all very very beautiful little things.
09-13-2007, 09:06 AM
Oh, Rita - that is so unfortunate! I'm sorry to hear that :(
09-13-2007, 09:21 AM
Awwww! :inlove: KnitPixie--love that bonnet!!:muah: Got home last night and discovered I have no baby pictures handy. :gah:Our house burned down when I was 3 and we lost all our pictures.
There is one HUGE (14 by 24 or something) portrait my Mom has on the wall (she saved it from the fire by grabbing it and jumping from a second floor window  and for some panic stricken reason she was trying to save our set of encyclopedias! :teehee:)
I have a wallet size in a collage frame. All the others that I've managed to locate from aunts and uncles are on a cd on loan to my niece for a project.
So in the meantime here is a self portrait::teehee:

Denise, you're a hoot! :teehee:
(I'm sorry about your family house fire.)
Rita, I'm sorry about your loss as well. :pout:

I only had 2 baby pictures of myself and my brother confiscated them! My dad did the slides instead of prints. DB took them all to put on cd's. I do have a pic of me when I was about 7. I'll see if I can get it to scan, it's pretty washed out.
09-13-2007, 11:02 AM
i could not post the pic of me so cloud9
09-13-2007, 11:14 AM
Well, I have no baby pics on my computer, but here's a pic from the bus stop on the first day of 1st grade. I'm the second from the right (in the blue dress).

Sharly That IS me
09-13-2007, 11:43 AM
 Thanks everyone for sharing! It's fine if they aren't baby pictures! Whatever you have that you can share!
And, I want to say that it is amazing how you cartoon children have grown up to be such fine knitting humans!!
I don't have but two baby pictures - I'm not sure why...there was a larger portrait one that my mom cherished. I liked it because I had white blonde hair (my hair is VERY dark now). When my mom passed away, we were dividing things up among the siblings, and somehow my picture disappeared. It was very sad to me. We think it might have mistakenly been put in the Goodwill stuff. Hubby went there and checked and it couldn't be found. I like to think my Mom wanted it. My bil's truck was also stolen, and I say she took his truck and my portrait and moved to Branson, MO. (She talked about moving there a lot!)...
Okay, anyway...back to the topic - thanks everyone for sharing - the pictures are adorable!!

09-13-2007, 03:43 PM
Purlygyrl.... that is a water pump on the porch. The bucket is covering the motor. I also noticed something that some of you younguns have probably never seen... by my other foot is an oil CAN with one of those metal spouts that punch through the top to pour the oil out.
09-13-2007, 05:13 PM
The first pic was of me at about 2 1/2 or three and the second pic is my kindergarden pic.
09-13-2007, 08:06 PM
What cute baby pics.
How do I add mine?
09-13-2007, 08:35 PM
Debinoz-Oh a well. I remember wells very well :teehee: Both set of grandparents had wells--it was a red letter day when they got "city" water and we were very excited when my grandmaw got INDOOR PLUMBING!!
And I remember oil in CANS very well. I was utterly fascinated because some of the oil came in paper cans-metal tops and botttoms but the sides were a special card board (yes, I was easily entertained as a child:teehee:) And I remember the Texaco guy would run out, PUMP the gas for you, check the air in the tires, check your oil and say THANK YOU when you paid him :yay:. Now days I'm just happy not to be mugged by a meth-head when I pump my own gas!
BTW--I still think that's your little brother under the bucket!:roflhard:

Oops-sorry Sajmaro--missed your question there. I'm not a real computer whiz but I'll try to help--I know there are some instructions somewhere KH but I can't remember where. Anywho, if you have your photo scanned in (saved on your computer ) hit the post reply button and you'll see the additional options menu; under the attach files section, click the manage attachment button, which will bring up a manage attachment menu. On that menu there is an "upload file from your computer" box-in that box there is a "browse " button-click that button and it will allow you to browse the picture files on your hard drive. When you locate the one you want to use, double click the photo (the info should fill in the address box) then click "upload" and the photo will be attached to your reply. I don't think you will actually be able to see the attachment until you submit the reply; however in the "attach files" box you will now see the file name of the photo. Then click "submit reply." I hope my info helps--if I have made a mistake--PLEASE someone out there correct me and yep, the attachment is my baby picture:mrgreen:

:aww:I'm the short blonde one on the picnic table.....I'm Daddy's baby girl:flirt: I don't have any other baby pics of me on my computer.....;)jeanette
09-13-2007, 10:09 PM
Let's see if it works. Here are two pictures of me. One of me at around 9 months. I'm totally guessing on the age thing. And one of me and my Great Grandmother. I think I'm under 6 months in it.
09-13-2007, 10:27 PM
My baby pic
09-13-2007, 10:38 PM
Purlygyrl: I don't have a little brother. I have an older brother and since I was 7 in the pic, he would have been 14. I don't think he'd fit!
09-13-2007, 10:48 PM
Here is a frame of my family when I was a baby!
I'm the one with the pink bow on my head...and my first birthday.....then my being held by my Dad with my Mom, and Brother..then me and my Brother in the final picture.

Thank you all for sharing!! The pictures are great!!
Mason, you haven't changed a bit!!
09-15-2007, 03:18 PM
Here's one I found of me when I was 3 months old..
Not my typical baby picture; in most of them, I have this giant grin. Those are too hard to get out of their frames, though.

I didn't think I had one on the computer and I don't have a scanner right now, but I found one!
I'm 15 months old here at my grandma's house in Los Angeles. Boy, don't those cars age me? :noway: This would have been winter of 1954.
09-15-2007, 07:12 PM
And I'm sure those cars were classics even they - they are cool!!
