View Full Version : missed a stich

I learned how to knit successfully using this site and a stitch and bitch book. After knitting a few rows on a scarf I realized that I had a hole and needed to go back. I tried unknitting stitch by stitch and reknitting. I ended up with extra stitches on my needle. So now I need to go back again. What is the best way to do that? Should I pull the needle out and then try and pick up the stitches?

crochet hook. just use it to create loops working upwards... i'm sure there's a video somewhere how to do it...

Check out Amy's video on this page (http://knittinghelp.com/knitting/basic_techniques/misc.php) that show various ways of fixing mistakes. If you're going to unravel, look at the video for insterting needle into a "destination row" , and that will make it easier for you.

good luck!
