I have now seen about 2 zillion baby hat patterns, but I need one for alpaca and I just can't find one anywhere!
Anyone have any ideas?

Is it Misti Alpaca Chunky? If so......
Here's (http://www.fabulousyarn.com/hat_patterns.htm) one but it is not the traditional style hat. The gauge for Misti Alpaca Chunky is Size 10 needles - 3.5 stitches to the inch (108 yds, 100 grams, 2 ply) so it seems that any chunky yarn pattern that has that gauge would work.
Another (http://www.straw.com/cpy/patterns/iceland_babyhat.html) pointy hat.
Logan's Baby Hat (http://knitwithkt.blogspot.com/2007/08/logans-baby-hat.html)
Here's (http://www.sweaterbabe.com/product_kp1.htm) one for purchase.
Cute Chunky Knit Sweater (http://sockpixie.blogspot.com/2007/06/le-petit-trianon.html) on this site.
Braided Hat (http://www.littleturtleknits.com/pages/adultpatterns.php) for purchase. Scroll down.
This (http://www.mielkesfarm.com/bsic_hat.htm) Knitted Basic Hat Formula pdf file might help you out for figuring out your own pattern.
Head size chart (http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/size-chart.html) for different size babies is useful information as well.

You are very welcome. Hope it helps. I know there was another site I was looking for and will post that if I can find it. I swear I bookmark stuff or save it as I see it, but it always seems to disappear from my computer when I need it. With the chunky yarn, it should be a real quick knit so maybe if you try one just experimenting, it will turn out the way you want it the first time. :cheering:
